The unique San Francisco guide on CD

The most important San Francisco tourist attraction is Golden Gate Bridge. Take a walk across the bridge. It features breathtaking views of the ocean, city, mountains, and island. On another side of the strait there is a vista point. Do not stop there, move forward and to the left under the freeway, or you can take a walk under the bridge, climb on the hill, and get to the most spectacular view of the bridge. Moving forward you will get to Hawk Hill with even more spectacular views.

The next San Francisco attraction is Coit Tower. Climb atop the Telegraph Hill and observe the best view of the city. This is a unique experience. The area around is called North Beach. Get to Columbus avenue and enjoy the safe nightlife district with a lot of great italian restaurants and little shops, bars, and clubs. Especially at the intersection with Broadway street. Transamerica Pyramid, the landmark of San Francisco is at the end of the Columbus ave.

Fishermans Wharf spread between Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square is visited by most tourists. It has a lot of souvenir shops, third class restaurants, loud attractions, cheap "museums". Very noisy place. But..! It was and it is still now a real fishermans wharf! Do not stick to bitten trails, look around. You will find most exciting places, views, adventures.

As Columbus avenue is a center of Italian culture, Valencia Street is the cultural center of Mission district. A lot of great spanish restaurants and clubs are there. The district has its own great feeling. Here is the little spot in the area around Mission de Asis.

Here are some of the places you definitely should visit to get more complete picture of San Francisco society life: Ocean Beach and nearby Cliff House, China Town, Yerba Buena Gardens, Castro Street.

During a year there are several great city events: Chinese New Year, Carnaval Parade, Love Parade, and smaller, less popular, but never the less very interesting events as well. This is probably the greatest city attraction - vulcanizing cultural life. Do not miss opportunity to meet the city inhabitants, so diverse, so extraordinary.
